In this powerful passage, Jesus and His disciples encounter a great storm, and we see Jesus demonstrate His authority over the wind and the waves. Today’s message reminds us that even in the midst of life’s storms, we can find peace by trusting in the presence and power of Jesus Christ. As we worship together through music, prayer, and the teaching of God’s Word, we will also have a special Back-to-School Prayer for students, teachers, administrators, and families as a new school year begins. This special time of prayer will be led by our Children’s Ministry Director, Ashley Castro. We pray today’s worship service, Bible message, and time of prayer encourage you to trust God through every storm and begin the new season grounded in faith.

Welcome to worship with Sagamore Baptist Church! We are so glad you've joined us today as we gather to worship through song, hear from God's Word, and observe the Lord's Supper together. As we prepare our hearts for worship, we invite you to set aside the distractions of the week and focus your attention on Christ. Today, we will remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us as we observe the Lord's Supper, reflecting on His body given and His blood shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Pastor Louis will continue our journey through the Gospel of Matthew with a message titled, "Power that Fulfills," from Matthew 8:14–17. In this passage, we see the power and compassion of Jesus on display as He brings healing and fulfills what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah. We are reminded that Jesus is not only able to meet us in our need, but that He is the promised Savior who came to bear our burdens and bring hope to a broken world. Welcome to worship with Sagamore Baptist Church! We are so glad you've joined us for this special Independence Day weekend as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary. Today, we honor and thank God for the freedoms we enjoy as a nation and remember the many men and women who have sacrificed to preserve those freedoms. Most importantly, we celebrate the greatest freedom of all—the freedom found through a relationship with Jesus Christ. This morning will be filled with special patriotic music, worship, and gratitude as we reflect on God's faithfulness to our country and His continued blessings in our lives. Pastor Louis will bring a message from Matthew 8:1–4 titled, "Jesus Heals." In this powerful passage, we see a desperate man come to Jesus in faith and encounter the compassion and healing only Christ can provide. Together, we'll discover: The Desperate Condition – Matthew 8:1–2 Compassion that Heals – Matthew 8:3 Resulting Obedience – Matthew 8:4 No matter your circumstances today, there is hope in Jesus.
