FAQ

If you're considering visiting our church family on Sunday, here are a few things that might help you get a better picture of who we are.

What is Sunday at Sagamore like?

You can expect to meet people who aren't perfect but want to know Christ, strive to create authentic relationships with others, and work toward accomplishing Christ's kingdom purpose. We join in worship to glorify God and grow in His Word together. We truly are a family!

You will be welcomed by our hosts who can show you around the building, take you by the children's check-in area if needed, and help you find a place to sit. Once in the worship center, you will see announcements scrolling, giving you a picture of what's going on in our church life.

We aim — through preaching and teaching — to give applicable insight into God's Word, whether going through a book of the Bible or through a series of messages. In our Bible Fellowship groups, our Family Ministries utilize The Gospel Project and other groups use Explore the Bible.

The Sunday service begins with Scripturally-based, energetic worship. Combining the modern avenues of lighting and media with the God-given talents of our worship leaders, we encourage everyone to join in worship and prepare for an exposition-ally taught Bible message that challenges you to know God's Word as well as inspires us for daily living.

What is Sagamore's mission strategy?

Christ said, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

(Matt. 28:19-20 NIV 1987)

We believe that every Christian has a personal responsibility to show Christ to others in his daily workplace, friendships, and home. We also believe that we are called to voice the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ as the Lord presents opportunities. Whether a person is called to work in his hometown or to move across the globe as a missionary, we strive to equip you to fulfill that calling.

We also believe that the Church is responsible for corporately supporting those ministers sent around the globe through prayer, physical short-term involvement, and monetary support.

Where is Sagamore located?

Sagamore Baptist Church is located one mile south of HWY I-30 on Eastchase/Green Oaks. Our physical address is 2301 Dottie Lynn Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76120.

What time is the worship service?

Sagamore is two languages under one roof. Both our English and Spanish service begin 10:30 am on Sundays. Services usually run about 75 minutes.

Where do I park?

Guests may park on the south side of the building, to the right of the main entrance. You will see a gentleman driving a golf cart for your convenience if you have need.

What is a service like?

Sagamore is geared toward helping everyone from all walks and stages of life, know and follow God throughout their life. We strive to encourage each other and serve the Lord by listening to Him and serving people. Our music pastor with live band and praise team lead us in worship, and our pastor gives a Jesus-centered message every week.

What do the kids do?

We are a family ministry church body, which means we prioritize equipping the parents to be the main teachers for their children and engaging in a corporate worship experience together. Children are welcome to attend with their families, but we do provide an extended session for infants through elementary. By the children's center entrance, you will find age-appropriate activity packs for the kids.

What do I wear?

We encourage everyone to come as they are, asking the Lord to prepare their hearts for His Word!

How long have you been ministering to the community?

We have existed for 110 years, ministering to many people who call DFW home! Our church relocated and changed our name in 2008 while continuing to serve the communities of East Fort Worth and West Arlington. The Lord is doing a new thing in our church, and we are excited to welcome you!
