COMMIT
Commitment. It's the decision to make a promise to another through trust, the state of being obliged or emotionally motivated. Each person is defined by how he or she treats it. God was the one who instituted it. Simply put, commitments produce the strongest emotional attachments and the strongest mutual obligations. While man can fail in this area, God cannot. When He offers Himself to a human — as a friend, a savior, and a master — He asks you to trust Him to change your life forever.Commit to Christ
Stepping into faith with Christ institutes the most authentic relationship you will ever experience as well as creates a lifelong journey, a pursuit for spiritual growth through His power. As God's Holy Spirit calls you to know Him, you have the choice to acknowledge the sin that lies within every person, turn from it, ask Christ for forgiveness, and invite Him to be the Savior and Lord of your life. It's that simple.
If you or a family member is sensing that God is calling for salvation, please feel free to visit with one of the pastors or directors at any time. We would love to share what God has done and is doing through our lives and how you can experience the same life-change.
Commit to the Church
Many Americans claim to know God but have no desire to be a part of a church that is full of "hypocritical" people. As much as Christ promised to stay faithful to mankind, humanity has never had a track record for being perfect. When Christ instituted His Church, he said to Peter, On this rock [His identity as the son of the living God] I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). Christ promised Peter and the rest of Christianity, that no matter how other people would try to ruin His work, He would protect it from evil. Because of this promise and the rest of His promises for the local assembly, believers can trust the church body who is under the leadership of Christ. No matter how humans may disappoint, the act of following Christ never will.
If you would like to become a member of Sagamore, you may join by baptism, by a letter of transfer, or by a written statement of your past obedience in salvation and baptism. If you would like more information, please contact one of the pastors of the church.
